Q: Does the frequency of occurence of characters in any way match English letter frequency? If "Yes" then this implies a cipher is being employed.

Here's the English frequency chart:

I've lost all track of the symbol decoding - I guess Banzai has a better chance at being able to do this!

I was wondering if anyone with large print outs of the main mechenism in the good photos of the issac artifact, if they compared the one that has the "activated" rails to the one that is stationary? To me they seem backwards from each other, I've been trying to distinguish what "activation" changes might be observable from the deactivated one.

To any who care, you've probably done this already yourself. But...

I've made a high-res composite of the Isaac language map in photoshop and increased edge sharpness to maximize clarity. It's not perfect, but it is a nice reference. Or a pretty wallhanging if printed out. ;D

Feel free to download a copy for yourself, it's found at:

If we check the frequency of the Isaac symbols, we might get somewhere .. did anyone try this already?

Well I gave a long look at the big artifact that isn't activated along side the one that shows the two rails being held up by "activation". I can't see much difference, if I do its that the vent area beneath the first ring shackle like object becomes shorter when activated. But it's hard to tell because of perspective. There are so many little details on that thing, so many little needles and nubs and ridges and things poking out.. I've tried to compare them all, maybe someone else can spot a difference.

Here are the tri node arms:

Interesting to note, the subjective match works if the code is read right to left, not left to right...

I suggested someone seek out "vowels" but I'm working on comparative analysis first.

I need patterns before I can work on specific values. If no one gets to it I will catalog the character frequency but there is much more to be done on the bigger picture and the specific objects for my own purposes.

once the patterns suggest functionality then there will be a context to substitute variable values in order to make specific characters work... at lest to my thinking.

But if someone wants to take that on at this point it would be very helpful.

There're 2 files for your entertainment. The STEP file is a 3D model of the "ship" that I made. Almost any modeling software can open that format. Click the other link (by the image in question) to download the large image.

Cheers

@ OnTheFence
Hi,
now you've released the CARETsymbols_1.5..
i feel there's a logic to switch the last 2 symbols, bottom right...

Well, I think anyone can help with that. I just downloaded a very hi res image of Isaac's Linguistic Analysis Primer.

I will get into it tomorrow (its 12:00 am here right now) and will try to catalog the frequency for you

Welcome.

Very nice picture. I noticed you cleaned up the penciled in notes (#71xx). Did you make any other changes?
