Government Monitoring.
Is it possible that Governmental Agencies are monitoring the UFO research community?
It is well known that internal Security Services keep files on various groups and individuals, considered to be possibly subversive. For example; cults, religious extremist groups, right wing groups, etc. In extreme cases operatives might choose to infiltrate the 'target' organization.
Consider the following comments from Bill Ryan's recent Project Camelot Q&A:
Quote:
Kerry and I assume as a matter of fact that we are continually monitored, certainly by e-mail. I know for a fact that my e-mails have been re-routed recently - an insider placed a bug in one to see what was going on and we got extracted disk details from someone called David Olson (whom no-one knew, not even Rick Doty), who had on his disk a file intriguingly named landscapeserpo.jpg. None of us ever got to the bottom of that. We assume it was behind the scenes DIA.
To put the following in context Bill Ryan was discussing his concerns that project Camelot might become a target for infiltration.
Quote:
....just as there are probably agents who post on this and other boards (...you really think that this isn't likely?!). There were 21 agents in attendance at Laughlin alone. The whole UFO field is heavily infiltrated... it's naive to believe otherwise.
As paranoid thought begin to surface, I would like to turn attention to the ECHELON system. for those that don't already know , here is a summary from; ECHELON: America's Secret Global Surveillance Network by Patrick s Poole:
In the greatest surveillance effort ever established, the US National Security Agency (NSA) has created a global spy system, codename ECHELON, which captures and analyzes virtually every phone call, fax, email and telex message sent anywhere in the world. ECHELON is controlled by the NSA and is operated in conjunction with the Government Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ) of England, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) of Canada, the Australian Defense Security Directorate (DSD), and the General Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) of New Zealand. These organizations are bound together under a secret 1948 agreement, UKUSA, whose terms and text remain under wraps even today.
Although massive in scale, the information is filtered through super computers - known as 'dictionaries'. The computers search for 'key words' and reduce or filter the information as 'key words' are cross referenced.
'Key words' can be anything of interest - Organizations, individuals - for example, an email containing the terms; bomb, Allah, etc will be grouped in a specific category.
after being filtered in this way specific information will be viewed by an intelligence analyst with the appropriate clearance. He/she will then produce the final reports (or 'product') for the 'customer' agency.
The question then is, has the NSA/GCHQ (etc) been 'tasked' with the gathering of UFO intelligence or what might be termed UFOINT......? and if so by whom?
RAF Menwith Hill, North Yorkshire where the 'Dictionary' super computer - Codenamed; SILKWORTH resides.

ufonaut, I don't know if it's related or not, but I recently put an article on this site about the NSA and their energy usage. I'll put the links below. You can find the article directly, or by going to the link to my news page on this forum.

Hi, All:
What one has to do is think like someone responsible for making sure the true facts are not disclosed.
You're sitting at your desk in Virginia/ Maryland/ Washington and have a large budget and plenty of staff. You can do whatever you think is best in the name of national security. What would you do?
Here are my own answers:
1) Plant bogus stories and orchestrate hoaxes to muddy the waters and spread confusion.
2) Monitor those people considered most likely to be a real problem. Traditional e-mail and phone taps if necessary, but also by having insiders befriend the "outsiders" who seem to know too much; easy way to keep tabs on them.
3) Discredit those who are posing a real threat by planting fake or exaggerated stories, smear campaigns, etc.
4) Position sockpuppets/ agents/ patsies on forums to stir up antagonism between otherwise co-operating groups. (Some of these may be "sleepers".)
5) Establish a forum (could also a sleeper function) which then in conjunction with (4) above could be used to spin PR etc, and attack/ discredit genuine sources.
6) Inflitrate UFO groups and visit meetings/ conferences/ conventions, getting to know as many ufologists as possible.
7) Plant stories in newspapers and magazines to make light of the issue.
8) If all else fails, and an inconvenient source does not acquiesce into silence, then take action to eliminate them so it looks like unfortunate illness, accident or suicide. Q.v. http://projectcamelot.org/tribute.html

Ipfreely..that there have outsider infiltrating by obtaining knowledge has been very clear to my eyes..being on this famous mailing list of Victor..i have been enjoying the whole process..all the fights..no did not read all of them but damned ..why did any of you people not detect these minds sooner it was clear from the first try out of disclosure..the very beginning..
All Ryan says in his post as how to..that and way more..like Distract the Minds of many key minds on this board..All of you have been kept mighty bussy with all these fights and bickering miles of papers work has been wasted on these fights..stop being vain..get on with looking for and exposing and trying to beat them before they beat you....
yeah I am in a bad mood humanity gives me a headache..
Ok I just got a new one..that is a differnt kind of Virus..or as my computer suggest a Unwanted spying program..it reads..Contains the Signatute of the exploit EXP/Agent.B .. Anyone knows this one?
History of government surveillance of UFO witnesses and investigators examined in new book:
Steve Hammons,
April 19, 2006.
BOOK REVIEW.
ON THE TRAIL OF THE SAUCER SPIES By Nick Redfern
Researcher and author Nick Redfern has put together a fascinating picture of the history of government interest in people involved in UFOs in his new book ON THE TRAIL OF THE SAUCER SPIES.
Based on declassified government documents and other sources, Redfern presents information on FBI inquiries about individuals involved with the topic of UFOs that date back to the late 1940s.
He also cites information that involves the U.S. Air Force, the CIA, the British Ministry of Defense (MoD) and many other government agencies.
Redfern traces the interest of government agencies in the UFO phenomenon from the late '40s through subsequent decades up to the present. The book takes readers back into the '50s, '60s and continues in basically a chronological order as citizens and the military and intelligence communities all tried to make sense of UFOs and related topics.
In the U.S., the FBI, CIA and the U.S. Air Force sometimes overlapped in their response to alleged UFO incidents, inquiries from citizens and in following up on concerns about UFO groups and individuals of interest, Redfern's research indicates.
He also focuses heavily on the parallel activities within the United Kingdom. The MoD, the Royal Air Force and Scotland Yard were also investigating UFO matters.
Redfern paints a complex picture of many military units and government agencies that had jurisdiction of some kind when it came to the topic of UFOs. He pays special attention to the mysterious "Men In Black," believed by some to be a special unit of the U.S. Air Force.
Some actual FBI and other documents are reproduced in the book and Redfern quotes widely from various investigative reports. This makes very interesting reading as we imagine the FBI agent or other investigator interviewing witnesses about strange incidents and writing a sober, professional report for higher authorities about flying discs and visitors from outer space.
WHY THE INTEREST?
Regardless of the nature of the investigation, what level of secrecy or deception was involved, or where up the chain of command the investigative information went, Redfern's research makes clear that the U.S. and British governments, as well as the governments of other nations, have been very interested in UFOs.
The intelligence-gathering on the part of U.S. Government agencies seems to have spanned many aspects of the UFO phenomena that could potentially pose a threat or danger to the United States.
Some of the government concern was based on the post-World War II and Cold War fears about communist infiltration of the U.S. Other worries focused on links that might exist between some UFO-involved people and right-wing extremists. There were technological and even public health aspects to some of their concerns.
There seemed to be legitimate neutral and professional inquiry into reports that people had seen unusual and unidentified flying craft or had experienced closer encounters. Government investigators were often especially interested when the witnesses were pilots, military personnel, police officers and similarly credible observers.
Up the chains of command, and behind the secrecy of the governmental activities regarding UFOs, readers can sometimes only guess about what may have been going on when all the information from the government and military "saucer spies" was organized and interpreted by higher authorities.
What view emerged about UFOs, alleged extraterrestrial visitors, claims of abductions of humans and all of the other mysteries that have occurred since the late '40s?
THEN AND NOW
Along the way, Redfern introduces readers to a few of the sometimes colorful pioneers of UFO research as well as books and lore on the subject. ON THE TRAIL OF THE SAUCER SPIES looks at the backgrounds of many UFO enthusiasts and researchers over the decades, as well as the government interest in these individuals.
Authors of books on the subject, people who reported strange incidents and many other citizens were subjects of FBI and government inquiry and readers get to read from the actual government documents about them.
In addition, the surveillance of some UFO groups that emerged over the years in the U.S., UK and elsewhere is examined in the book. This provides a rich history of the social aspects of the UFO phenomena, as well as a look at the broad interest in the subject by average citizens, military personnel and intelligence professionals.
Many of the incidents involving UFOs over the decades are covered by Redfern including the famous ones and events that are less well-known.
Nearly 60 years have passed since the alleged 1947 "Roswell Incident," an event that some say brought government and the military fully into investigating, monitoring and trying to understand the UFO situation. Redfern's book allows readers to get a good view of the actions and reactions of military and intelligence agencies regarding a large spectrum of people who, over the decades since 1947, found themselves interested in or directly involved in this subject.
We now seem to be in an era of greater knowledge and sophistication about UFOs than some of the citizens and agents in the past that Redfern tells us about. Amid current requests for more disclosure about UFOs, possible gradual releases of information to the public and continued concerns about the effects the situation could have on society, ON THE TRAIL OF THE SAUCER SPIES gives us insight into our recent history, our follies and our progress.
By following the trail of history, this book provides a valuable resource for anyone interested in the subject of UFOs, in the relationship between citizens and their government and in understanding how far we have come in dealing with this mysterious situation.

Best to all, Bill
Very good synopsis, Bill.
What about those who've been imprisoned? There are many cases where the 'evidence' suggests that people may have been 'framed' for crimes in order to silence and send out a warning - 'do not follow down this path'. I'm thinking of Ira Einhorn ...

"In recent years, there has been an upsurge of police activities in the USA, the nature of which most Americans would more readily associate with repressive dictatorships. We Americans have been educated to believe that democracy, due process, assumed innocence-until-proven-guilt, and Constitutional protections against illegal search and seizure are the laws of the land. On paper, these protections are there; but in reality, these basic Constitutional rights and freedoms have been gradually and steadily eroded away by new laws, judicial rulings, and bureaucratic decrees. One of the lesser-known but more significant leaders of this assault on American freedom has been the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). [...]

I have found it surprising that this surveillance even applies to us little internet discussion forums.
Twice (not including this past week's bravenet hit) in the past 7 months, my computer has been hacked and c:/drive uploaded, only when logged on to this site. When these incidents happened, it was extremely difficult for me to shut down my browser. Only repeated "ctrl-alt-delete" would do it. And even after that it continued at high speed. The only way to stop it was to pull the plug. When I re-booted, the uploading immediately continued, without even launching my browser. So unrelenting was this that I could not preform any computer function as the c:/drive content was being uploaded as fast as it could operate. Pulling the plug was again the only way to stop it.
I re-booted with my DSL cable disconnected. Ran 3 different spy-ware programs, none of them found anything! Checked my firewall, and there was no record of anything. It was completely clandestine. Highly sophisticated software to hack like that.
I have brought this up and found only a few others had been targeted.
So yes, I have learned first hand that monitoring does occur, even with little guys like me.
I estimate (given the time & speed of uploading) that they got about 50+ megs of data from my c:/drive personal files.

Man, you think that's bad! lol!
I have my PC turn itself *on* during the night sometimes!!
..and I have one deffo hack (traced it) to the Russian Academy of Science - HI GUYS!! Yeah, that's *you* I'm talking about, you dirty, rotten scoundrel
(not you Jake !)
No worries really - there's always going to be *someone* who can and will do the dirty if they want to - that's the way it is. We all need to accept that - not get too paranoid - (so what?) and limit what you can have 'peeked' on your PC. I keep all securities OFF my PC.
Treat your PC as you would a book you put back on the shelf in the libray, and you won't go too far wrong. ... any pages you want to keep, tear them *out* and put them somewhere off-line.

Why would they so very much needed to destroy his books? Why Do the JEWS Fear these writings so very much? Why do the royal families Fear his work so very much? I know him yet I have not read his work ..there simply is not one book around in this country, or so it seems He is a important name in my 2000/2/3 visions etc He has been in my head since I saw the matrix reloaded..why lord only knows. Anyone read any?
If I look at the work of this man..looking at these titles for the first time..the titles actualy say enough.. Yep..they sure as hell had only one purpose..to burn all proof of the real Islam teachings..all faked religious groups/fractions of the real one are merely a copycat with its own new laws of the original..all faked religious fractions play under one roof..all are guilty of the many wars waged for these last years..all needed the proof of the originals to be destroyed from books to nations to laws as all truths..white ants system..infiltrate kill take over spread their seed destroy-erase all proof of the firts one..thus becomming the first cause there is no first left anylonger.

Jake: If your C: drive is being uploaded--reach behind the computer and pull the plug. That will at least p*ss them off! Then disconnect your modem when you restart your computer and clean it up.
PS I was hacked last week and stopped it cold with my cleaning proggies.
